Bengals Ring The Alarm
Oak Forest - You got the feeling early on in Oak Forest that it was sure to be an interesting night, if it wasn't the lightning show or sideways rain that delayed the start of the game for over 2 hours, it could have been the gym that was filled with fans from both teams sitting on opposite sides, at least until some one pulled the fire alarm.
The Bengals didn't waste to much time ringing in the points as they scored right off the bat on back to back possessions and back to back Sean Bryce (RB 5'11 190 sr.) TDs in the 1st quarter.
Centennial would answer back on their second possession with their prime offensive weapon Mikel Leshoure (RB 6'2 215 jr.) after being forced to go 3 & out on their first offensive series. Leshoure showed that a very wet field wouldn't slow him as he ripped down field for a 61 yard TD.
Unfortunately for the Chargers that would be all the offense they would see as the Bengals shut down Centennial on offense and while they kept adding to the score.
Jake Gloodt (RB 5'11 185 sr.) would find the endzone on runs of 5, 22 & 46 to help the Bengals glide into the semifinals. Micky Nicholas (QB 6'1 170 sr.) would rush for over a 100 yards himself and score on a 33 yard run as well.
With this win Oak Forest has beaten two teams from the Big 12Conference and could be set to play a 3rd team from it if Normal (Community) wins Saturday against Dolton (Thornridge). Oak Forest is now 10-2 on the season, while Centennial finishes up theirs at 8-4.
