Week #1Chicago (Brother Rice)(1-0)
Bogan Falls to CrusadersBy Brian Snow Two touchdown runs by Senior RB Austin McDonough and two TD's through the air by Senior QB Tim Evans propelled the defending Prep Bowl Champions to a 55-8 thrashing of the Bengals to open the season on the right foot. Evans finished a perfect 4-4 for 56 yards and the two scores while McDonough powered the ground attack with 4 carries for 57 yards and two scores including an incredible tackle-busting 44 yard run to close the first quarter. After another interception, newcomer Mike Malloy bulled his way into the end zone from ten yards out, and then McDonough capped the first quarter scoring with his 44-yard touchdown run in which he broke four tackles running to the left. The Crusaders put it on cruise control after that.
