Lake Forest is gaining confidence in picking up its third win in four games.
The Scouts made its first visit meeting up with the Panthers on Friday night and they may not be invited back as Lake Forest rolled to a 38-6 North Suburban conference crossover.
"We didn't know what to expect coming in, because Round Lake was having a good year," Lake Forest coach Chuck Spagnoli said. "I still think Round Lake is going in the right direction.
"It's crazy how the schedule works, but it's a nice place to play (Round Lake)."
The Panthers' Andrew Krueger bounced back from a shoulder injury suffered last week against Lakes and recovered a fumble stopping the Scouts opening drive.
But, the Scouts recovered quickly scoring 31 unanswered points.
The Scouts' Ricky Lilja scored on a 14-yard run, Robert Binkley caught a pair of touchdown passes (6 and 19 yards), Ryan Knautz added a 30 yard field goal and Gregory Friedman (28 carries, 200 yards) rushed for one yard score. Friedman also scampered for 32-yards for another score later.
"We can play better, we haven't played very well the last two weeks," Round Lake coach Doug Moss said. "We got to figure out what the problem is and fix something.
"We ran 12 offensive plays in the first half and had -9 yards rushing. Your not going to beat a pee-wee team doing that. We need to knuckle-down and decide to play ball or adjust our game plan to the point of doing it."
Round Lake (2-2) managed a total of 87 yards on the ground and 35 yards in the air for 112 yards. Lake Forest compiled 489 yards which 378 was on the ground.
