Bio: Wide receiver, played football, basketball & track at Kaneland. Played football for Western Illinois in 1987 and Chadron State in 1988. Caught a total of 78 passes for 1,361 yards and 18 touchdowns for the two schools. Although Don began school at Western Illinois he then transferred to Aurora College to play basketball. Left school and worked for 2 years then went back to WIU where he earned All Gateway Conference honors in 1987. Ended up at Chadron where he earned a letter on the track team as well as on the football team. Became the football head coach atAurora

Pro Career: Played for the Buffalo Bill (1989-95) & the Green Bay Packers (1996). During Don's NFL career he caught 217 passes for 3,388 yards and 23 TDs. Played in 5 Super Bowls. He is best remembered for chasing down Leon Lett from 25 yards back and stripping the ball from him just as Leon was about to cross the goal line in Super Bowl XXVII. |
