Top Ranked 4A teamJoliet (Catholic)may not be in 4A come playoff time. The playoff outlook posted at IHSA.org has JCas the top school for enrollment in 4A aster week #5. Which could mean a jump into 5A. Of course the IHSA does not select the final class seeding untill after week 9, but it a trip to 5A would mean the #1 ranked team in 4A would no longer be the Hilltoppers. According to the IHSA, there hasn't been a school in 4A topping off the class under 1300 since the 1990 playoffs, which was 1217 and the lowest ever since the 6 class system. Currently Joliet Catholic is at 1202.79, which would be the lowest ever for an enrollment topoff in 4A history.
