Central Wins In Cross Town Shocker

In the 30th regular season meeting between Naperville North vs Naperville Central it came down to the last three seconds to reach an outcome. Erik Senkbeil's 30 yard field goal wins it for Central. A strong start by Naperville North scored two touchdowns early but  missed the extra points. Naperville Central started a comeback with Mike Schmitz returning the kickoff for a 95 yard touchdown. North scored again before Central scored 21 consecutive points. With Central now leading 27 - 19 with eight  minutes left in the 4th quarter North moves in for another score. But trails 27 - 25 those two missed points looming large. North goes for the 2 point conversion, a 21 yard pass from Jordan Taffio to Josh Hibbird  ties the score. After a possession by each team with no results Central got one more chance and move down the field to the 19 setting up Senkbeil's winning kick.
