Late Carmi Drive Steals Victory Carmi - Johnston City came to Carmi with their vaunted Single Wing offense and nearly left town with a victory. With 2:45 left in the game, the Indians led 22-21 and punted to the Carmi 15. On a nine play, 85 yard drive, the Bulldogs' Justin Kosikowski ran it in from nine yards out to seal the victory. With 51 seconds remaining, Johnston City could not advance the ball. Lincoln Talley returned a 3rd quarter punt 68 yards for a TD to put Carmi ahead 21-14 for the first time. Johnston City's only score in the second half came on a two yard run by Bryan Greeney in the 4th quarter with 5:36 left in the game. The Bulldogs were limited to 55 yards rushing, while Chase Kittinger connected on 11 of 20 passes for 241 yards and his 30th career TD pass to Kosikowski. The Indians rushed for 245 yards on 61 carries and twoTDs. They were led by tailback Corey Slayton and fullback Alex Terrill.
