Week #3 vs.Carmi
(C.-White County)3-0 Predictions Sometimes Go Awry JUSTIN CANTRELL, HAMILTON COUNTY'S TRIPLE THREAT QB, PASSED FOR 4 TDs. ON THE OTHER HAND, THE BULLDOGS HAD WON THEIR FIRST TWO GAMES ON THE PASSING OF QB CHASE KITTINGER. THE RUNNING GAME HAD ONLY PRODUCED 50 PLUS YARDS IN EACH OF THE TWO GAMES. WITH BOTH TEAMS RUNNING FROM THE "SHOTGUN' AND THE "PRO-SET," IT APPEARED TO BE A WIDE-OPEN PASSING GAME. MANY TIMES PREDICTIONS GO AWRY AND THIS WAS ONE OF THEM. THE BULLDOG'S RUNNING GAME GOT INTO GEAR AND DOMINATED THE GAME, RUSHING FOR NEARLY 300 YARDS AND 5 TOUCHDOWNS. JUSTIN KOSIKOWSKI HAD TD RUNS OF 17, 43 AND ONE YARD, WHILE CARL TORREY AND TONY BLANKENBURGER GOT INTO THE ENDZONE ON 70 AND 52 RUNS IN CARMI-WHITE COUNTY'S 40-7 TRIUMPH. KITTINGER COMPLETED 7 OF 14 PASSING ATTEMPTS FOR 186 YARDS AND ONE TOUCHDOWN TO EXTEND HIS STREAK TO 12 CONSECUTIVE GAMES WITH A TD PASS. HIS TOUCHDOWN PASS WAS A 52 YARD AERIAL TO HIS BROTHER, CLAY. IT IS BELIEVED TO BE THE ONLY BROTHER - TO - BROTHER PASS PLAY FOR A TD IN THE SCHOOL'S HISTORY. CANTRELL, HAMILTON COUNTY'S GO-TO PLAYER LED THE FOXES WITH 68 YARDS RUSHING AND A FOURTH PERIOD FIVE YARD TD RUN. HE COMPLETED 11 OF 22 PASSING ATTEMPTS FOR 144 YARDS AS THE BULLDOG " BLITZKREIG" DEFENSE KEPT THE PRESSURE ON HIM MOST OF THE GAME. ALTHOUGH THE FOXES GOT INSIDE THE CARMI-WHITE COUNTY 10 YARD LINE THREE DIFFERENT TIMES, THE BULLDOG DEFENSE WAS "STINGY," kOSIKOWSKI, MARK HEALY AND ASA STINSON WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR SEVERAL SACKS THAT TURNED HAMILTON COUNTY AWAY. by John Evers
