Goodbye, but not leaving.
It was a sad day for myself & many fans of the site when we stopped publishing in Oct. of 2007. A plan to reinvent the site fell short (no time on my end) and with so much great content (the site is still seeing traffic in 2020) I haven't been able to take it down.
Almost all of the photos are still saved on hard drives and if you see reference to a photo gallery, but the link is broken, please know there is a good chance I have reuploaded them in a more permanent location, where you can also buy a copy for download or have it printed.
As an added bonus I haven't stopped working as a sports photojournalist and have been on many assignments for the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, Joliet Herald, Pioneer Press, and many other Illinois news publications (even the Post Tribune in northwest Indiana). You can find recent photos from football and basketball; to volleyball, tennis, golf, and girl's sports too. A the best part is it's all searchable too by school name, sport, or mascot.
I will be making updates from time to time on the site, but the coverage that it once had will most likely not be coming back.
If you would like to contact me, all the IHSFW emails no longe work, but you can reach out through my personal website's contact page.
Thank you,
Vincent Johnson
