Crystal Lake - Rock Island fell in a rematch of last years 8A quarter final. After being up 11-3 in the third and 17-11 in the fourth.

A missed extra point would cost them as the Gators would march down field on 16 plays for a TD and the lead.

With 57.4 seconds left Rock Island returned the kickoff to the 46 of South. On 1st and 10 from the 35 Rocks' quartback Jake Markum would through an interception.
