2005 Varsity Season Canceled (8/18/2005)
Seton Academy announced the cancellation of it's 2005 varsity season, with only 2 weeks before the their first ever varsity football game.
The news, which sent many opponents scrambling to find make up games, came about after Seton determine that it's varsity squad, primarily made up of underclassmen would be unable to be competitive at the varsity level.
As in past seasons, team set to play a team who cancels a season or game may find another game or receive a forfeit victory.
The Sting of Seton would have been playing their first ever varsity game after not having a football team on the account of Seton being an all girls school until 2004.
Seton does plan on fielding a varsity team for the 2006 season.
