DeLaSalle Couldn't Contain Providences Fire

Chicago - There was smoke above the football field at Chicago (DeLaSalle) as they hosted #9 New Lenox (Providence) that came from inside a near by high rise. That fire was shortly lived, but the fire inside Providence's team burn well into the fourth quarter.

Providence jumped out to a 13-0 on two well executed drives with about half of the first quarter remaining. Unfortunately for the Meteors that would be all they needed as they cruised to a 42-6 victory on this hot and humid Saturday afternoon.

DeLaSalle's only score came on a 4th quarter run of 10 yards by Joe Woodark.

Steve Quigley went 9-13 with 114 yards and 2TD's defore he was pulled early in the 4th.
