10. (11) Springfield (S.H.G.) 3-0, 36-7 overJacksonville (H.S.) 2-1, Cyclones get revenge from last season's playoff ending loss to Jacksonville, but will the Crimsons get the last laugh again come November?
11. (2)Naperville Central 1-2, 31-17 loss to #7 Wheaton (W. Warrenville South)3-0, Redhawks may have been underdogs, but most thought game would have been closer.

18 (21)Geneseo3-0, 25-14 overCahokia2-1. Speedy Cahokia team had fewer chances to break the big play as the Geneseo offense hogged the ball.
19. (22)Mundelein (Carmel)3-0, 35-14 over Chicago (St. Patrick) 2-1, Corsairs run all over the Shamrocks as they establish themselves as at least the #2 team in the East Suburban Catholic .
20. (23)New Lenox (Providence)1-2, 46-27 lost to #9 Chicago (Mt. Carmel)3-0, Celtics couldn't recover after being falling behind 27-3.
21. (24)Normal (Community West)3-0, 28-8 over Decatur (MacArthur) 1-2. Running back Josh Lacombe rushed for 238 yards for West.
22. (25) Pontiac 2-1, 33-13 loss toMahomet (M.-Seymour)2-1. With this loss, games are going to be a little more intense in the Corn Belt.
23. (26)Cary (C.-Grove)3-0. 7-0 overCarpentersville (Dundee-Crown)1-2, Close game almost as shocking as a loss.
24. (30)Normal (Community)3-0. 21-14 over Mattoon 1-2, Ironmen squeak by again.
25. (16) Oak Lawn (Richards) 2-1, 47-6 over Romeoville 0-3, No surprises here as Bulldogs win big against Romeoville.
26. (29)Rockford (Boylan)3-0,56-0 overRockford (Auburn)0-3, 21 points in 2nd quarter to much for Auburn to overcome, QB Jake Smolinski throws 3 TDs & rushed for 1.
27. (NR) Palos Hills (Stagg)3-0, 33-7 overPalos Heights (Shepard)0-3, Chargers take quick lead, as the game was never close.
28. (NR)Edwardsville (H.S.)3-0, 14-0 overBelleville (East) 1-2, *Correction* Edwardsville was listed earlier as losing to East 14-0.
29. (27)Bolingbrook2-1, 48-6 over Joliet (Township) 1-2. Raiders start the running clock, as they go up 48-0 on Joliet at the half.
30. (NR) Palatine (Fremd) 3-0, 30-6 over Arlington Heights (Hersey)2-1, defense key as Fremd holds down previously undefeated Hersey.

 

On the verge
Champaign (Centennial)2-0, most points for & least against in Big 12, would be third team from Big 12 to make the Big 30.
Downers Grove (South)2-0, would have made the Big 30 with a tougher non-conference schedule
Maple Park (Kaneland) 2-0, out scoring opponents 77-7
Naperville (North)1-1, beat #19 Libertyville 1-1
Chicago (St. Patrick) 2-0, face #19 Mundelein (Carmel) 2-0 this week
