23. (NR) Geneva (2-0), 55-0 over South Elgin (0-2) First year South Elgin teams gets no love from the Vikings on a mission to be recognized.
24. (NR) East St. Louis (Sr.)(2-0), 39-0 over Columbia (Hickman), Flyers start off 2-0 and get ready for conference play in week #3.
25. (26) Cahokia(1-1) 20-8 loss to Alton (Sr.)(2-0)Cahokia drops it's first actual game, as it had to play on the road after a it's field was storm damaged. Comanches travel to Gary, In. for week #3 & Marion for Week #4 before playing a home game.

26. (17)New Lenox (Lincoln Way Central)(1-1) 17-15 over Orland Park (Sandburg) (1-1) Some fans are already claiming that the 2 Southwest Suburban conferences (Red) & (Blue) may be one of the toughest in the state.

27. (NR)Addison (Addison Trail)(1-1) 35-7 loss toElmhurst (York)(1-1) Blazers make a quick appearance in the BIG 30, before most likely bowing out in week #3.
28. (11)Lemont (H.S.)(0-2), 22-19 loss to #29Sterling (H.S.) We said Lemont may have the toughest schedule in the state. The good news is with the teams they're playing most likely going 9-0 or 8-1, Lemont can rely on it's playoff points to get them a good seed in their playoff bracket.
29. (NR)Sterling (H.S.) (2-0) 22-19 over #28 Lemont (H.S.)(0-2) Sterling pulls out a win in a close one with a Lemont team trying to get a break with it's tough schedule.
30. (NR) Metamora (2-0) 44-0 over Washington (1-1) Redbirds fly past Washington
